About Kristin J. Coffey
Kristin Coffey graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in May 2008. In May 2003, she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with honors, from the University of Florida.
She has almost 7 years of experience in civil litigation, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and contract disputes. Kristin switched to family law in early 2015 in search of a more rewarding and people-centered practice. She was drawn to marital and family law because she wanted to help families in difficult times, and she excels at getting clients the best possible outcome in their cases. Kristin has tailored and effective negotiation skills for a wide range of legal issues and personality types as a result of her diverse legal background. Kristin attends seminars regularly to stay up to date on Florida family law updates and current cases.
Kristin worked as a research associate for Magnus Research Consultants, Inc., a trial consulting firm, for two years before law school. She was involved in mock trials and litigation analysis during her time at Magnus.
Kristin received a pro bono certificate while attending Levin College of Law for her work with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, Florida Institutional Legal Services, and The Law School Mentoring Project. She worked as a student assistant for the Director of Trial Advocacy and the Trial Practice Program at the University of Florida.
Kristin is deeply committed to the fight against human trafficking. She is also an advocate for the International Justice Mission and a supporter of anti-human trafficking legislation.
Kristin approaches family law cases holistically; no issue is too big or too small. She works hard to ensure that clients are completely satisfied with the outcome of their cases.
