About David W. Houston IV
David practices in the firm's Creditors Rights & Bankruptcy Group. His experience includes representing secured and unsecured creditors, committees, creditors, receivers, and parties involved in receiverships and out-of-court restructurings. Davids practice focuses on representing creditors in bankruptcy cases and representing creditors in committees and preference actions. He also represents creditors in state and federal receiverships. David regularly represents trustees and other creditors in all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. David has been recognized by "The Best Lawyers in America" for his work in the field of bankruptcy and creditors rights.
David is the fourth generation of lawyers in his family. David is uniquely able to find ways to connect with his clients, other lawyers, and judges in order to successfully resolve even the most complex of problems. David begins every legal conversation with his clients with the end in mind. He makes sure that every decision they make affects the outcome of their case. David leverages his deep network to assemble the most valuable team for his clients, whether its handling a bankruptcy case or helping to buy and sell a company.
David enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as watching Ole Miss sports.
David graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Public Administration degree from the University of Mississippi.
