About John C. Leininger
John Leininger joined the Dallas office of Otteson Shapiro in January 2016.
Mr. Leininger is a senior member of the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights and Litigation practice areas. He focuses on core bankruptcy matters, bankruptcy litigation, and general civil litigation. Mr. Leininger represents creditors in bankruptcy court, bankruptcy lawsuits, and civil litigation in general.
Leininger was named one of the Best Lawyers in America in the years 2010 and 2011 for his work in the field of Bankruptcy & Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Leininger worked as a law clerk for the Honorable William H. Parker, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Texas. He has extensive experience litigating matters in state and federal courts. In the years since the United States Supreme Court dismissed Judge Parker, Mr. Leininger has gained extensive experience in bankruptcy courts and state courts. Holiday 360, Ltd., et al.: Counsel to creditors in successful reorganization of multi-million dollar hotel loans. As counsel for creditors in restructuring corporate debts to pay them back as much as 100 percent to all creditors.
Springcrest Partners, LLC: Successfully defeated plans to reduce the amount secured lenders claim on a multi-family mortgage.
