Managing Attorney at
Stewart Law Group
Chandler, Arizona, 85248
Amy Dohrendorf has wanted to be a family law attorney for as long as she can remember. In fact, she drove her parents a bit crazy as she engaged in debates about everything from current events to curfews to why it wasn’t fair for them to force her to eat fish. For graduation, her father framed a newspaper clipping for her that read, “It wasn’t anything that you did or didn’t do as parents. I was born to be a lawyer.”
But why family law? Well, Amy’s parents divorced, but they did so amicably and civilly. As a result, she and her brother were well-adjusted, and Amy wanted to help her clients achieve the same positive outcomes for their families. She also once worked for a judge who stressed the importance of knowing your cases backward and forwards because he had seen so many attorneys arrive at court unprepared. Amy took his advice to heart and even over-prepares for all of her cases. This, of course, is good news for her clients.
This also means that Amy admits to being a bit of a workaholic, but she does manage to find time to stay physically active. While in high school, she played four sports – yes, four – all without losing her honor student status. Today, she enjoys snow skiing when she gets the chance and trains with the Boot Camp Babes. She joined them in the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk to raise money for breast cancer research, helping her team collect more than $80,000.

Amy Dohrendorf with Stewart Law Group was amazing during my divorce. Amy was there to answer all my questions and made sure I was prepared for every hearing. My case was very contentious but Amy always maintained such a high level of professionalism. Amy worked tirelessly on my behalf. She advocated for not only me but for the best interest of my children. I never hesitate in recommending Amy to friends and family members! She’s great!!
